As the first microbrewery in Orleans, Stray Dog Brewing Company remains an innovative and popular business for many Ottawa residents. While they don’t offer food, you’re free to bring in your own or order from the Skip the Dishes app. They even partner with a neighbouring restaurant, Chamos Grill, which will deliver food directly to your table. And, as the name hints at, they’re dog-friendly!

Dominion City Brewery

Dominion City Brewery uses Ontario-wide farms and maltsters, along with international partners, to bring you the best beer it can produce. They work with independent producers and community initiatives to bring you great food, beer, wine, and cider from across Canada and support causes within the community to help make a difference. Visit their Canotek Road location on Fridays or Saturdays to enjoy great BBQ, too!

Broadhead Brewing Company

Broadhead Brewery is a popular Orleans brewery that started in a garage and has moved to a large location in the East End. It can now host events from makers' markets to musicians and even wrestling competitions! They have a great selection of refreshing beers, including a ‘secret menu’ you can order from in-store and a menu of great-tasting foods sourced from local Orleans producers and restaurants. If you find yourself out in Orleans on the weekend, this is a must-visit!

Whiprsnapr Brewing Company

A family-owned and operated brewery, Whiprsnapr is located in the heart of Bells Corners, with a cozy and rustic atmosphere. They use locally sourced and high-quality ingredients to create their unique and flavourful blends. Their rotating selection of beers on tap means you can experiment with new flavours and seasonal beers to find your new favourite or expand your palate.

Covered Bridge Brewing

Covered Bridge Brewing is a Stittsville microbrewery that focuses on malty, blended beers. The owners make beers that they like, and they hope you will, too! They’re regularly featured on beer tours in the area and will deliver an informative and funny tour filled with science and entertainment.

Bicycle Craft Brewery

This local brewery and tap room in St. Laurent was founded in 2014 and focuses on finding new flavours and pairings, resulting in many unique and seasonal beers like their Margarita Gose, which combines Himalayan pink salt, lime zest, and coriander. With a full menu in their taproom and a trailside cafe that opens at 9 a.m. every day, this is a must-visit in Bells Corners for a great brew and meal. Founded in 2010, their name means ‘The Great River’ and pays homage to the former name of the Ottawa River. If you can’t make it out to Bells Corners, they have a newly opened location on Sparks Street that you can check out the next time you’re looking for a new brewery downtown.
